Services and prices
Every figure covers the work and the part together. The range is the spread between an ordinary model and a thin or rare one; the exact number comes from the bench after diagnostics.
The price comes out of diagnostics
We look first and quote second. "It will not turn on" has a dozen causes, from the cable to the board, and the gap between them is twentyfold.
- Diagnostics
- 900 RUB
- How long it takes
- 1–2 days
- If we do the repair
- The diagnostics fee comes off the final bill
- Diagnostics is charged for and takes a day or two. We do not do it on the spot while you wait: there is one bench and one queue.
- If you go ahead with the repair, the diagnostics fee comes off the final bill. If you decline, you pay for the diagnostics only and take the device back assembled.
- After diagnostics you get one figure covering work and part. It does not grow afterwards: if something else surfaces mid-repair, we call and ask first.
- Liquid-damaged devices jump the queue: the longer a board sits wet, the more corrosion there is. The prognosis for them stays the most cautious of any job we take.
- Sometimes a repair is simply not worth it. We will say so plainly and explain why. Taking the money anyway is possible, but then you would not come back.
What the badges mean
- Common repair
- The job we see most often on this bench: the part is usually on the shelf and the turnaround lands near the bottom of the range.
- Part required
- The fault cannot be cleared without replacing a part. If it is not in stock, delivery time is added to the job — and you hear that before the repair starts, not at the end.
- Priced after diagnostics
- There is no upper figure for this work: what failed decides the price, and nobody can name it in advance.
Treat the catalogue as a way to judge the order of magnitude before you leave the house. The binding figure comes after diagnostics: it never rises above the one you were quoted, and if something else surfaces mid-repair we call and ask first.
What we do not repair
A short list, so that nothing is carried across town for nothing.
- Televisions and monitors
- Their panels are not sold one at a time, and board repair nearly always costs more than a new set. Taking the job on knowing that outcome would not be honest.Where to go instead: Try a service desk attached to an electronics retailer; they sometimes have panels to swap in.
- Large home appliances
- Washing machines, fridges, dishwashers. A different trade, different tools and a different size of doorway.
- Electric scooters and bikes
- Because of the batteries. A multi-kilowatt-hour lithium pack in a cramped workshop is a fire risk we are not willing to carry.
- Unlocking and passcode bypass
- We remove neither account locks nor forgotten passcodes. It is not a question of skill: a shop that takes such work on is usually working on devices that belong to somebody else.Where to go instead: Go to the manufacturer with your proof of purchase; that is the only lawful route.
- Data recovery from damaged drives
- Opening a drive needs a clean room, or dust finishes what the failure started. We have no such room, and pretending otherwise would be expensive for you.Where to go instead: You need a specialist laboratory. Above all, stop powering the drive up: every attempt lowers the odds.
What you will be asked at intake
The fuller your answers to these — in the chat or at the counter — the quicker the intake and the better idea the bench has of where to start.
- What is the device, and roughly what year is it?
- What happened, and when did it start — all at once or gradually?
- Has it been dropped, or had liquid in it? If so, how long ago and what was done afterwards?
- Does it power up? What shows on the screen, is there any sound, does the case get warm?
- Has anyone opened it up or changed parts before?
- Does the fault happen every time or now and then? If now and then, under what conditions?
- Is there a backup of your data?
- Do you know the device passcode? We need it to verify the repair afterwards.
